Hello my good people, welcome to yet another LeleFood post.

If I told how I got an inspiration to make this sandwich, you wouldn’t believe me because it is just too crazy. The inspiration came to me when I was in church, praying!!

I’m a church girl, and yes, I am that Christian girl. Every Sunday, I try my best to wake up early in the morning so that I can do all that I need before I go to church. By “all I need before I go to church” I mean take my time bathing then eating while listening to praise and worship songs, you know, just to start off my day on a positive note. However, you see this particular Sunday I woke up late, to say my mind was not all over the place would be lying; I felt as though my mind was literally out of my head and all over the house.

You see, my church starts at 8:30am but since I serve (I’m a deaconess), I have to be at church at 7:30am. This particular Sunday, 7:30 is the time I woke up, my goodness, just imagine the panic when I saw the time. I was panicking because I woke up late, couldn’t find a single thing and in my mind I was like “Lele, you are getting in trouble with your leader today” and me thinking that did not at all help with my panic. I rushed to the bathroom and washed up and that was it, that was the only thing I did thoroughly, because you know a girl has gotta wash up right??? No matter what! Immediately after bathing and putting on my “unironed” uniform, I headed out, and this was somewhere between 08:10am and 08:20am. I didn’t have breakfast and also did not listen to my praise and worship songs, meaning that my day did not start out on a positive note.

Thankfully, I got to church just about 3 minutes before the service starts. I had to go to my leader and explain why I was late, by the grace of God all went well and I was showed where I’ll be serving. Imagine my surprise during prayer when I started hearing roaring in my stomach, ok it wasn’t much of a surprise because I knew very well that I didn’t eat breakfast!!

I was hungry my good people. It felt like I hadn’t eaten in days. I was so hungry to a point I couldn’t really focus in church and as the result, I started thinking about buying chips and fatcakes after the service, however, I remembered that summer is here and I’ve gotta watch what I eat (but please don’t be led astray, I’m that girl that will say “I need to watch what I eat” but the following day buy that junk anyways. I’m trying to work on that, lol). I then thought of buying at a restaurant a simple but good meal but I remembered I really don’t have a restaurant kind of money on me. I was so distracted by the roaring in my stomach that I couldn’t fully focus on what the preacher was saying.

Finally just as church was about to come out, I thought about tuna, how I have always wanted to try out a tuna sandwich and make is so good that it is worthy enough to be part of my blog posts. I settled on tuna my good people and after church I went straight to the shops to buy all the necessary ingredients. When I got home, I turned on the TV and my favorite show (90 days to wed) was on, imagine my happiness at this moment. I made my tuna sandwich while watching and it came out so good, and tasted so much better than it looked. The 90 Days To Wed was good and my tuna sandwich was even better. My day turned out positive after all, and I was happy.

This is the sandwich you have to try out if you haven’t already, even if you have made it before, just do it again because it doesn’t matter how many times you have eaten it, eating it always feels like the first time. It is just that good my good people. It is quick and straight to the point. Please find the ingredients below and thank you so much for reading…Until Next Time My Good People, BYE FOR NOW!!!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can tuna in water, drained

  • ½ green pepper, chopped

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise or salad dressing (for this particular tuna I used salad dressing)

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon aromat

  • ¼ onion

  • 4 slices of bread

  • Lettuce

DIRECTIONS

1. In a bowl, mix tuna, green pepper, salad dressing, lemon juice, salt, aromat, and onion together.

2. Put lettuce on bread on bread then spread out the tuna mixture (I prefer my bread lightly toasted)

3. Enjoy!!
