Ingredients and instructions at the bottom of the post.
Just look at this beautiful creation called baked fish, man just looking at it makes me so hungry all over again. It wasn’t even my intention to make this meal, but under certain circumstances I am about to mention, I ended up making it and it came out so much better than I thought it would.
You know that moment when you are at home, hungry and everything needs to be cooked in order for you to start eating? That was me! I had no snacks in my house or 2 minute noodles, just fish in my fridge waiting to be cooked. It was just one of those days I was feeling tired and the thought of cooking was the worst idea ever. However, I was terribly hungry so I really had no choice but to get my butt up and cook.
I did not want to make this fish in just an ordinary way (I know, that was a quick move from feeling tired to cook to wanting to make this fish in an extraordinary way, but what can I say, cooking excites me no matter how I am feeling), I wanted to have fun with it, just try a recipe I have never tried before, so I went to a place where you can find thousands and thousands of fish recipes called the internet. Oh internet, our help in time of need, the place we get answers for our assignments, the place we connect, the place where Lele gets new recipe inspirations, but I digress, back to the fish recipe.
So my good people, as I’m going through different food websites looking for a good recipe, I came across this yummy one on the website www.bite.co.nz/recipe/2281/Easy-fish-bake/, my goodness, from just the image I saw of the baked fish after I clicked on their post, I just knew I had found the one. The following is their fish bake Ingredients:
· 25g of butter
· 2 Tablespoons flour
· 1 ½ of milk
· ¾ cups of Tasty cheese, grated
· 100g spinach, washed and drained
· 4 fillets white fish
· ¼ cup fresh parsley, roughly chooped
· 2 teaspoons of mustard
· 1 pinch cayenne pepper
· 25g breadcrumbs, dried
· 25g Parmeson cheese, grated

I went through this recipe and thought “hey, this isn’t too bad, the ingredients are simple and straight to the point”, one problem though, as much as the ingredients were simple and straight to the point, I didn’t have all of the needed ingredients, so I had to improvise because there was no way I was passing on this fish. The only cheese I had in the fridge was cheddar cheese. I did not have parsley nor did I have mustard, and instead of cayenne pepper, I used six gun grill seasoning, salt and aromat. Moreover, since I love tomato sauce so much, I decided to add it to the list of my ingredients. As much as I did not have all the ingredients needed, I was still so determined to bake my fish.
The following are the ingredients I used to make my fish, and yes, it came out soooo good even without some of the ingredients.

My Fish Bake Ingredients:
· 25g of butter
· 2 Tablespoons of flour
· 1 ½ cups of milk
· ¾ cup of cheddar cheese
· 100g Spinach, wash and drain it
· Fish
· 1 teaspoon of six gun grill seasoning
· 1 teaspoon of aromat
· Pinch of salt
· 25g of breadcrumbs, dried
· 25g cheddar cheese, grated
· 2 Tablespoons of Tomato sauce
· And of course have foil to avoid fish sticking to your baking tray
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Heat your oven to 200c
2) In a pan, melt your butter over medium heat then add flour, stir well for a minute. Then add milk slowly and keep stirring, bring to boil and allow to thicken. Then add your cheese and stir until melted, then season with a pinch of six-gun, pinch of salt and pinch aromat from your measurements. The left over seasoning measurements mix them altogether then add 2 Tablespoons of tomato sauce and mix well, use the mixture in marinating the fish.
3) Lay foil on the baking tray then your spinach accordingly. Arrange your fish on top of the spinach then pour the cheese sauce over the fish then afterwards scatter your breadcrumbs on top.
4) Bake until bubbling and breadcrumbs are golden, which should be about 25-35 minutes.
5) Serve and enjoy.
Below is my fish straight from the baking pan out of the oven, it tasted so good, I hope you try the recipe out. I ate my baked fish with home-made bread (home-made bread will be my next recipe post), the meal was so good I did not want to finish it, ever had one of those?lol.
