Hey hey hey, so, I want to know, what is your go to dish? I am talking about that one dish that is always in your options when wondering what quick meal you can fix up. That dish you know you’re so good at that you can make it with your eyes closed (well of course not literally). For me, ladies and gentlemen, that dish is Baked Potato Wedges, baked potato wedges are life and more.

Potatoes never cease to amaze me, they are that one thing that can make any dish, literally any dish from deep-fried potato wedges to baked potato wedges, from boiled potatoes to mashed potatoes, to potato salad and of course not forgetting the potato croquettes I made and previously posted. Seriously, if vegetables were people potatoes would be the most talented, true story.

My mom looooves my baked potato wedges. Just from reading my previous blogs, you should know that my mom is my biggest fan, she is amazing. Every time I tell her that I’m making baked potato wedges she gets so excited and won’t eat anything because she says she doesn’t want to ruin her appetite. She says my potato wedges are the best thing ever, now you see why I call her amazing? She’s just so encouraging.

Some people after cutting their potatoes into wedges they bake them immediately, I really don’t like this method because it makes the potatoes way too dry leaving a dried and unappetizing interior when cut open. What I normally do, before I cut my potatoes I boil them for 7 minutes, yes exactly 7 minutes then afterwards bake. This really helps get that soft desired interior and reduces overall cooking time, and that right there ladies and gentlemen, is a good cooking tip. TAKE NOTE.

The baked potato wedges recipe is so quick and straight to the point. If you take longer than an hour making this then there’s definitely something you’re not doing right. It took me about 40 minutes to finish everything, from cutting potatoes right up until serving. This meal is really a no brainer good people. Thank you for reading, please find the ingredients and directions down below.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Baking time: 30 minutes

Serves: 3 people

· 4 large potatoes

· 1 teaspoon salt

· 1 teaspoon black pepper compound

· 2 Tablespoons potato seasoning

DIRECTIONS

1) Cut your potatoes into wedges then add to boiling salted water, leave to boil for 7 minutes.

2) Set your oven to 200c degrees

3) In a large bowl, mix together salt, black pepper compound, potato seasoning, lemon juice then oil. Now add potato wedges and toss gently to coat

4) Put your potato wedges on the baking tray then in the oven, leave for 30 minutes

5) Take out of the oven after 30 minutes and leave on the counter for 5 minutes to cool down
